(prelude)
A cleansed galaxy. That was this… creature’s goal. And how does one go about such an endeavor? What does it even mean? Well, the answers are just as extreme as the questions. Weapons of mass destruction, and erasing any other intelligent life that dare exist within such a parameter.
The creature in question, whilst not particularly intimidating to the perspective of a human onlooker, would likely make even the bravest of its species quake in its shell. This species, being similar to that of a crab, though only owning four appendages and standing at an average of one meter in height, has evolved over millions of years, growing incredibly intelligent and resourceful, building submerged societies spanning over several solar systems.
This specific iteration of the alien species stood 6 feet tall, which, while being standard for the human race, was akin to a titan among the Sagittarians. It had an exceptionally dark shell, with bright red markings drawn intricately across the plating. At this moment, the specimen loomed behind the covering of a darkened window, looking over an expansive chamber, a spacecraft situated near the center. It spoke, its voice resonating through the minds of its staff, causing their shells to vibrate to the bass. “It is a grand day! In this moment, we launch our… annihilation, designed to wipe through the pathogen in which it is foretold will spread throughout the universe at a degree that only fits the description of exponential! Yielding unending force, we will complete this dire mission, and with our new… creation; we shall free our spread, no pestilence to plague our growth! Now…” it trailed off, before continuing, its voice taking upon a less inspiring tone. “Initiate launch sequence!” The once desolate chamber sprung to life, numerous lights igniting across the walls, the chamber seemingly going on for miles, the dark sky visible far above. Many mechanical components shifted, a humming sound resonating with the quiet. The spacecraft hovered slightly, before lifting several meters above the ground. “Three…”The spacecraft rotated slowly, adjusting to its new position as the creature counted down. “Two…”Lights trailing the crevices of the spacecraft glowed a bright red, illuminating the surrounding, though mostly muted by the intense shine of the lights brightening the chamber. A window became visible as the object continued to rotate, its content yet to be revealed.“One.”The craft turned just enough, revealing the win
