Anyway, time for my characters:
Theo could escape since he can summon his pocket realm, same goes for Cosmo.
Fizzy probably wouldn't be able to since even though he has a pocket realm, it takes him a while to set it up, instead of it being instantaneous like Theo and Cosmo. Jamie and Jello can't make a pocket realm or teleport so they're cooked

Although now that I think about it Theo could just go into his final form and obliterate Galeem

You probably don't know any of my OC's but i'll explain anyways;
Dono (OC) would try to "pull up a Kirby", but fail afterwards as he doesn't really have much control over his powers
Emanuel and Adrian would be the ones trying to outrun the Light, but get hit anyways
Sam would try to take cover behind some rocks, hide inside some cave or try to just evade the Light as much as possible, but probably also fail
Jacobo would try to fight it, probably would end up escaping, kinda 50/50

Yazoba just kinda dies
And Lara would probably "pull of a Kirby" as well by using some of her tech, but having a better success rate than Dono (OC)

As for how would they try to fight Galeem.. nah bro idk if that's possible UNLESS they're in a group, but since it's a "every man for himself" well...-

Miso would actually get hit by the whole thing, a few minutes later would get “rescued” by Virtual
Voiding would just… not care, a cool timestop and then beats thr ever living crap out of em

X could either dodge all the lasers and strike back or use his Anti Swords to negate the lasers or absorb them and then strike back

since I don't have underpowered OCs (due to my Original series's extreme world building), galeem would get clapped 💀

Let's just set some ground rules and some observations. Now, if you haven't seen the intro for world of light, I recommend you search it up on YouTube or something before you go any further with this.

Now, with that out of the way, let's get into some ground rules.
Firstly, no escaping the universe. Your characters can do whatever they can to try and escape Galeem, but just everyone pulling a rick and morty is a but unfair in my eyes.

Secondly, every man for himself rule. This is because we're trying to measure what a single character can do to survive, instead or Piggy backing on other people.

With that done, how would YOUR characters survive the World of Light opening?

Considering everyone in Smash is crazy nerfed, I say Eggyhead could beat Galeem by simply blitzing and smashing his core, it'd be like what Sepiroth did all over again.

If Eggy wanted to escape, he has a pocket dimension on the other side of his hat he could go into. He doesn't use it for much besides storage and a studying space, but if he needed to get away he could go into it.

The only minor issue is that if the hat gets destroyed he'd be stuck for a little bit until he can get a spell to open up another gateway and he might miss like half of the world of light

Axil will just teleport away or manipulate the environment around him to survive Galeems grasp or just escape to the dark world

Cray-z will just parry every last light beam

Btw is the dark world a pocket realm?

No that’s where crazy hand and darkhri or what ever it’s called lives which is the opposite of the light world

Cray-z has toon force has a true form and a true true form(he has to true forms one where you can comprehend him and the one where he’s in the 10th dimension Dave likes using the comprehensible one since it’s a fair fight

Cray-z can parry the same way as v1 does with his toon force
