At publishing time, the inmates had, however, requested that the medical team on standby during the execution be all-male.

As soon as I saw the execution team would be all-female, I knew unserious people were in charge and that something was wrong.

Turns out, it was amateur hour. They weren't even competent enough to hit a vein.

Look, the gals in my doctor's office take blood samples all day long, and they never miss a vein. They're as slick as snot. But they don't work for the God-damned prison system.

Serious people don't play the all-female thing anyway, unless it's bikini bartenders, topless baristas, or some ridiculous bullshit like that.

Would've loved to heard that 911 call to get her to the hospital
"we tried to kill her twice & she won't die, could you come save her?"
(gotta wonder if the operator gave instructions on CPR too)
