While it is true that Ishmael fathered the Arabic nations... Islam (a religious belief system) is an invention of the crazy followers of mohammed... which didn't happen until the 7th century. Ishmael, Abraham, and Isaac were long in their graves when Islam was invented. And that is why I say Ishmael never heard of Islam because it hadn't been invented yet.
