He’s just like my cat. He’s always happy to see me and wants my attention. Every time I go from one room to another he follows me. Unless he’s asleep (of course).
It’s the same with him. That’s probably the main reason he follows me around. After the head rubs and other petting. Then it’s “gimme those Temptations!”.
My giant cat prefers to try to jet out the door while the Angora intentionally gets in the way in order to force us to pay attention to him and to see if we brought anything home for him then my void cat is too lazy to get off his butt and greet us🤣

When we get home the make is usually on the couch and the female is either lying next to him or lying in one of the kitchen chairs. They don’t even know that we’ve been gone.
