well, metal is all about "oh my life is horrible, i hate god, woe is me!" although if some people, like imagine dragons is metal (and i only know a few of their songs btw) then i guess i would say i do like metal. if not, oh well. and the petition thing is 4 next Super Bowl, rite?

WOA WOA WOA WOA!!!!!!! SLOW DOWN THERE!!! Have you even TRIED to listen to REAL metal and look at the lyrics????? Are you f**king kidding me?!?!?!? I'm not going to be an ass like some metalheads might, but I gotta teach the people of the world what metal really is! 1. Imagine Dragons are not my fave band. They are OK cause the lyrics are pretty good especially in "it's time" But if you told a full throttle metal head that Imagine Dragons is metal, they would give you the evil eye!!! Imagine Dragons BARELY even make it into the ROCK catagory or even "alternative" "its time" was kinda alternative lite rock but "radioactive" was NO insturements period. it was 100% electronic sounds. that is NOT rock that is NOT metal that isn't even alternative. 2. Not all metal is about complaining about life or hating god. HAVE YOU EVER LISTENED "NOTHING ELSE MATTERS" BY METALLICA?!?!? the lyrics are so powerful and it is a great start to see what metal is all about! And try Orphaned Land!!!! PLEASE TRY ORPHANED LAND'S SONGS!!!! Their songs "All is One" is about peace in the middle east and about how we all have one god that we shouldnt fight over. look at the lyric video I GUARANTEE it will change your view about metal!!! Their songs are SOOOO good!!! Also please try my favorite song in the whole world "song for the broken" by "close your eyes" they are a christian band and that is hands down one of my favorite rock songs PERIOD!! if you don't understand what they say look up the lyrics!!! Please don't hate on metal and rock before trying it!!! But the funny thing is that "woe is me" is actually a real screamo band XD but thats besides the point!! Please try out these songs and let me know what you think and tell anyone you know that metal is NOT bad!! I know this was long, but I must defend my favorite music!! Cause it will NEVER die and I will do my best to make sure of it!! One last thing, name some songs you listen to that you think are better.

Good thing i read fast. I've only heard like some songs of some metal bands or whatever. i was talking about the type of music where u can't understand what they're saying cause trying to scream louder than the instruments, k? and i guess i'll search those bands up. they seem to mean a lot to you. and u never answered my question about the Super Bowl thing. also, let me search up some songs i like, cis i 4got some of their names. ;)

well thats different I guess. SOME metal bands you can BARELY hear the lyrics, yet they are good and you have to look them up to understand it. And most likely, you heard screamo. There is a HUGE difference between REAL heavy metal and screamo! Screamo can have a lot of good lyrics and you can understand it sometimes, but some is combined with pop and electro and it ruins the whole thing especially if you cant understand the lyrics as well. REAL metalheads (not the wannabees) from what I know shake their heads at many screamo bands and I can't blame them because some of those screamo bands do whine alot and are arrogant and in it for money and stuff. But with METAL, yes, some hevy stuff does curse at god and I admit I do listen to some of it, but a lot of it actually has to do with politics and world problems. The lyrics are super important!! Well, yah, it seems like those songs I've heard because of parodies. Some are somewhat meaningful especially radioactive and airlplanes, but... timber??? UGH!! I mean I know for some, its catchy, but seriously??? all it literally is about is getting drunk, partying and sex!!! (its also what my ex listened to and look how she turned out!!) WTF! Im sorry but I HATE songs about that shit. Evernescence I'll make an acceptance cause her voice is amazing and her song wake me up is pretty cool.
