Meh, I believe that children have valuable input. Maybe not about major topics, although I will still consider their ideas. I almost always believe what a child has experienced to be true until proven otherwise. Largely because I remember what it's like to be a kid with a very small support group. I was one not that long ago [2 years ago]. I also know what it's like to not feel heard just because of your age.
I like to filter my reactions towards children because they are more sensitive, due to the brain not being fully developed.
