# 🚨 IMPORTANT: Pokémon Bank Is Shutting Down 🚨
Hey everyone! I have some critical news for anyone who still has Pokémon stored in Pokémon Bank on the Nintendo 3DS.
Pokémon Bank will officially end service on February 25th, 2027.
If you have Pokémon sitting in Pokémon Bank—or Pokémon from older games that you still need to transfer—please don't wait until the last minute!
Once the service ends, you will no longer be able to transfer Pokémon from Pokémon Bank to Pokémon HOME. Any Pokémon you want to preserve from the pre-Switch era should be moved to Pokémon HOME before the shutdown date.
This is especially important for limited-run Pokémon originating from older titles such as:
The Pokémon Dream World (check your Entree Forest), XY, ORAS' demo, SM's demo, USUM's demo, and the Virtual Console titles (Red, Blue, Yellow, Gold, Silver, or Crystal)
Poké Transporter is also involved in moving Pokémon from certain older games (Gens 3 to 5) into Bank, so make sure you've taken care of those transfers as well.
Don't wait until February! Transfers can take time, and you'll need a Pokémon HOME Premium Plan to move Pokémon from Bank to HOME.
