Some of the greatest scientists in the history of the world, such as Issac Newton, Albert Einstein, And Charles Darwin believed that a creator existed. Of course Newton was the only Christian and all the others were Agnostic, but my point remains

Not all of them are like that, I personally think God could have used the process of evolution in the creation of the world

Creationism is about what God did, not alternative things that he could have done.

Im specifically talking bout the creation story, Saint Augustine proposed that God might not have created the world in 6 literal days, but could have created it in an instant or throughout thousands of years.

Saint Augustine believed that creation was instantaneous because he had a faulty interpretation of Genesis 2:4, a mediocre interpretation of a faulty translation of an apocryphal text, and a belief that instantaneous creation is the best possible expression of omnipotence. However, God had other purposes in creation than just showing his power.

God created the world in six days and rested on the seventh day as a historical precedent for the Israelite work week. The King James version of Exodus 20:9–11 says “9Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.”

Dude calls augustine Mediocre for having one of the og translations of the Bible then brings up the king James version. He had the ORIGINAL Latin translation, the one used for about 1000 years before the Protestant reformation. Not to mention, Saint augustine was one of the greatest minds Christianity has ever had, alongside the likes of Thomas Aquinas. But the interpretation of the Genesis creations story wont rly effect your salvation. My point was that the creation story doesn't have to be interpreted literally.
