Sad dog meme

I must admit that I don't understand this one 🤔

Its great when they start getting to the end of the puppy age (In my opinion) because they start calming down, around the age of one. By the time they get to six you realize you only have a few years left with them and that they are getting old. They are no longer a playful little puppy (depending on the breed) and as they get older it is sad.

Although I had dogs for nearly 30 years, none of them were puppies when I got them.
They were all very large English Pointers and they all had different personalies
They all exhibited 'puppy like' behaviour all throughout their lives when you played with them.
The secret is give them the best life - Plenty of walks, swimming and chasing things
There is nothing sad about an older dog

I disagree. It is always sad when a dog's life is coming to an end. Many dogs experience fatty tumors and arthritis and just like humans it is a sign that there body is getting old and with great age comes a sad death. Even my mother who lacks a great deal of emotion was sad when our dog (cookie who is a st Bernard) reached the age of six. He now has cancer and we will be putting him down in a month but my family is very sad about this and sad that our other dog same breed is getting older and scared that he may as well get cancer.

It's good to talk about this subject but it getting a bit depressing
Perhaps you should post something positive from his life

Sadly, not for many years - I'm now too old to charge around fields and hills where I live 🙁
