Independent, Republican, Democrat or whatever...if not dependent upon the Lord the outcome will be:
“Futility of futilities,” says the Teacher.

Unless you're dependent upon God the outcome will be:
"Lowborn men are but a vapor;
the exalted are but a lie.
Weighed on the scale, they go up;
together they are but a vapor." (Psalm 62:9 BSB)
And unless you are dependent upon the Lord, you will find yourself in this situation:
"TEKEL means that you have been weighed on the scales and found deficient." (Daniel 5:27 BSB)
