And again, because it's cold 90% of the year over here, we're not used to these temperatures so it makes it feel so much worse

i see your point but its similar here in some ways
we dont get as cold as you

but the temperature change is sharp and takes a while to get used to
its like one day its 14-16 and im fine but then in spring it spikes to 25 and suddenly im dying
takes me to about midsummer to get used to the heat, especially 30+

Yeah well we don't even get a chance to adjust it just sits at this for like 4 days and then drops again

also where i live and the uk have pretty similar climates
but we are clouds like 60% of the time and i love it

We're clouds like 90% of the time which only means we get way more humid heat
