Yeah, Americans have a problem with that, too. It’s disappointing that a lot of Americans who go abroad have this dumbass sense of superiority because they think that what our country did in the past makes us better than everyone else.

well of course not
all we did was help the british in ww1 and help the british in ww2 (and fight japan)
but im saying america heavily overstates its importance
ww1 and ww2 could both have been won without america joining

WW1, probably, it would’ve just been a matter of time, and the Germans wouldn’t have spread themselves thin during Kaiserschlacht. Plus the addition of blockades. WW2, the European theatre is iffy, depending on whether or not Hitler overextended himself with operation Barbarossa. The majority of the manpower required to actually push back into Germany was provided by the Americans. Plus, we need to take into account the lend-lease program, and the fact that the island hopping campaign in the pacific was carried out almost entirely by Americans.
(I’m not trying to lord this over anyone, it’s just matter-of-fact.)

ww1 for sure
i agree that the americans were very much useful in ww2, especially the pacific, but i believe the russians would still have pushed back germany and something similar to the invasion of sicily or d day would still have been carried out by the british.

Fr also I'm British and even I gotta admit some of the accent types I hear are either basically gibberish or they sound like posh twats

My grandad is from rural Kentucky, so his accent is f**kin OUT THERE. Half the time I feel like I need a translator to tell what he’s saying. I just have the average flat American voice.

No offense but the Arab accent (when speaking English) sounds like complete dumbass speak to me. In a native language it sounds normal though.
