My dog was eating and my little brother went up to pat him which took the dog by surprise and before anyone could stop what was happening my dog instinctively bit at my brother and got him in the lip! He bit a bit of the lip off and swallowed it which means the doctors can't sew it back on. Because of this he had to have plastic surgery to replace the bit that was gone. He's back home now but his lip still needs time to heal.

By heal I mean his body needs time to register the new body part

I hope he gets better, I will be praying for him

I just got an update from my mother who took him to hospital. The dog didn't eat it but he scratched a flap off and the plastic surgeon had to stitch it back. So it's not as bad as I thought but his lip still needs time to heal but luckily he's not part plastic like I thought he was.

Well, I am praying.

He's fine now he just needs to wait for his lip to adjust before he can eat solid food. The dog won't need to be put down because it's a natural defense mechanism to bite someone if they invade their personal space while eating but if it happens again the dog will have to be put down.

Just found out the dog just scratched it off instead of eating it but it's still serious.

Well my dog barks and shows his teeth during thunderstorms, but thank GOD he hasn't bit anyone yet.

Because the way he barks like that definitely sounds aggressive
