It's not fair to differentiate that on an individual basis but if anything the existence of dei can make people more racist by letting people assume they were chosen for their race if they happened to do something wrong

also there is significant evidence that in many fields there have BEEN that kind of thing. i feel like this post is an oversimplification of the issue
