Why’d you need to get a CPAP? Genuinely curious, my sister needed one when she was little and my dad needs one

i have sleep apnea, i stop breathing and basically choke when i sleep. My mom has come into my room to wake me up in the morning, and she called my name multiple times. I didnt wake up until my mom was freaking out thinking I was dead. plus i wasnt breathing when she came and woke me up
