My ball is a Dusk Ball not because of being caught but because The_GhostsFriend bred another Lilligant in a dusk ball with a ditto. That's how I ended up with a Dusk Ball.

This isn't supposed to be weird, this is exactly how I got Lilly in game. For those who don't know, this specific Lilligant is named Lilly. In Shield, I did indeed breed a Lilligant I transferred over from Violet with a Ditto and that Lilligant was in a Dusk Ball.
