During ww2 The n Zis actually planned to make an orbital strike cannon called the Sonnengewehr. (literally meaning “sun gun”) they said it would take about 50 to 100 years to build and it would reflect the sun’s rays and shoot them back at the earth. However it obviously never happened and the idea was stupid as the rays of light would dampen down by too much before they hit it leading to it only heating up about enough to feel like a spring day and on top of all of that they literally where going to use thousands of pumpkins as an air filtration system (I wish I was kidding). Gotta give them some credit though it was a smart idea and although I do not support them in any way shape or form it was an interesting idea nonetheless.
