I did recieve the email but when i clicked to verify it wouldbt work

if you clicked the send button multiple times, only the newest email works. sometimes gmail combines them into one on the page and hides one

sounds like either it already verified it or you clicked an old one. if the button is gone on the settings page, its been verified
