There will be 6 types of characters: Rushdown, Zoner, Footies, Punisher, Snowballer, and Strategist.
Rushdowns and Zoners are straightforward, as one focuses on close-range combat, while the other is the opposite, and focuses on keeping a distance using ranged attacks.
Footsies focuses on poking an opponent to follow up with a bait attack or a grab to start combos and gain an advantage by getting their enemy to a high percentage.
Punisher characters share a similar playstyle to Footsies. The only difference is that they focus on countering and baiting. Think about it as a "high risk, high reward" playstyle.
Snowballers start weak, but if played correctly into the right hands or if the moveset is learned first, they can quickly gain power over their opponent, using overwhelming tactics and deep character learning to play correctly.
Strategists, like Snowballers, need deep character learning to overpower their opponent and keep the player on their toes. They have the most complex moveset out of all six types of characters, but they're capable of dishing out a sweet 43% on their opponent if they're not careful.
