History

The shell people are common in the aquatic earth , a world with fewer landscapes , and 90% of it being ocean , they have learned to swim with theyre limbs , breath in land and water , and hunt by using vibrations , it all started when the early people were born from animals , and that animal was the nautilus , an ancestor of octupus , it was said that the genes of both human and nautilus intertwined with eachother during a storm in which almost wiped out sea civilizations and only
The humans and the nautiluses survived , and once the earth was more cooler, lands rose from the deep sea ground and made the shell people learn how to walk and feel

Mythology
It was said by the calls of the people that a god was born from these grounds and spat out the sea , shaped the ground from mud , and birthed life , then rested , never awoken , never told , and remained in this state for years
The people also told that the "givers" , the parents of the resting god , were light and darkness , darkness as the outer space , and light as the sky , its unknown if these gods will ever rise from history and alert us of something more from the beyond

Connection with humans
Its obvious that the shell people have limbs and a torso but it maybe possible if they have known about urban legends , told storys , or wrote poetry , it maybe possible if there were sexuality and family background , like staight , gay , lesbian , transgender , or nonbinary , single , divorced , widowed , or brother-sister marriage , and maybe they also have false beliefs like the flat earth theory , god not existing , the simulation theory , and etc.
Or could also have known if WE exist , as they are "indifferent" from us

Language
They speakby using vibrations and calls like tapping stepping , touching , or make breathing patterns , they also communicate more thoroughly by releasing scents that we humans cant smell , like one scent for lets eat and another for lets make babys (its theyre way of saying i love you) and so on , and with these vibrations and scents , they could make whole sentences from scratch , but its not confirmed if they have a writing system yet or a way of writing

Beliefs
The shell people believe in a religion similar to buddhism , they believe and "live in the soul" of the resting god , but if you die , you will be eaten , not because of cannibalism , but because the person eating you or the people eating you will absorb the sins , the good deeds , and the memorys of your body , but it is recommended not to eat the heart as it is that the heart is a gift from god and in honor of the resting god , and they use the bones as tools and souvenirs
