Communism is a system in which all possessions are taken from the people by the government and then redistributed, therefore invalidating all of the hard work anyone with any stuff has ever done, and making the lazy mfs as rich as people who actually work hard. If all people were always the "same rank" then there is no incentive to work any harder than the government forces you to.
