Friendships ended, buddies separated, brotherhood abolished, lives broken, all over what? Poor timing? Unwillingness to be flexible? Rampancy?

I sincerely hope it was worth it. I hope the council has no regrets for when they pass on. Sure I overreacted; that was my mistake. It was not on behalf of Team Earth. I made mistakes, we all did.
