Well there's only so much I know because it's one of those things that everyone in town knows but doesn't talk about based on the supernatural creepiness and the tragedy. The prison, mound, Whitegate Cemetery etc are pretty publicized but Sanford wasn't talked about outside of the being a haunted school and the paranormal museum that was in there. It was demolished in 2022 and it took the town more than a year to find a crew willing to demolish it. It's as if they're trying to erase it from memory. The paranormal museum is now located out in Cameron which is still in Marshall County but a little ways off. Even people from Japan, UK etc came to visit it and Sanford got high reviews for it's perfect setting for such a museum but I think if people knew how terrible the background they wouldn't have visited.
