Picture this:
You have $10 dollars and you want to play PvZ GW, because it’s a very good game and you’re willing to play it. You see that the game’s on sale and you buy it, having only $4 now. You may have noticed that golden yellow plus as you were checking the game’s maturity rating, but that’s a Mystery Mousketool that’ll hurt us later. You wait for it to download a little, you can’t wait. You’re ready to kick some Plant or Zombie butt, you’re all hyped up with the controller in your hands, but! There’s a catch. What’s the catch you ask? Remember that Mystery Mousketool you looked at? Well, turns out, that Mystery Mousketool… is PlayStation Plus. You gotta pay $10.88 a month or you’re gonna have to play a different game. You now may be wondering, “Why play a different game?” Here’s the cherry on top. You’ll neeeeeeeeeeever guess what it is. Plants vs Zombies Garden Warfare is unplayable. It doesn’t have local, so you can’t play with bots or play some story mode chapter at all, because it doesn’t exist. You’ve bought a game you were so excited to play only to find out that you need to buy PlayStation Plus to even play the game, let alone kick some enemy butt. You’ve bought 6 dollars for nothing. The lesson here is: if you’re going to pay your customers to play Online, then at least make the game local so it can actually be playable. Good Examples are Smash Bros. Ultimate, Crossy Road Castle, and Cake Bash respectively.
