I wonder how the owners found that out ? 🤔

Well I assume that the cat wouldn’t get in and maybe they for some reason were cutting one up in the tub or have a garden with them and had a few in there while they were picking ripe ones if their counter space is limited and the cat jumped in and they took advantage of it and ran him a bath. Apparently something about melons comforts this cat. Some cats love eating watermelon.

Still seems a very bizarre explanation

My experience has been with cats is that we tend to discover their odd behaviors, likes, dislikes etc by very odd circumstances which make for odd explanations. Could be one of the human slaves was bathing and relaxing in a warm bath eating watermelon and the cat jumped in and kept showing a draw towards watermelon so they got the idea to try this. Such things have happened to me personally with different cats so it’s likely going to be bizarre
