So, the name isn't permanent yet but I thought of something amongst the likes of Mist Demon or sumn idfk
Drawings of them are on the image. They're made out of tightly condensed mist, and lurk around dark forests in Siberia, floating around with a slight glitch, they all have a slight amount of mist floating around them at all times, the male ones having mist configured in lines, and females having mist configured in spirals. The males have a head tilted to the right, and females to the left. To reproduce, a male and female must get close together and let their mists that follow them around combine and condense into a baby. This baby is gender-neutral by birth, having an untilted head, and after a certain age the baby splits apart and leaves both a male and female Mist Demon.
The mist demons are led by a leader, that has two knives in his back, as well as a tiny mouth at the torso that lets out commands for the mist demons. The leader is chosen by a rare mutation that a mist demon got once, and every leader has been a family member that has passed down this very trait.
The mist demons choose prey, usually young girls, then manipulate the victim's prey in order for the mist demons to look like lost family members and memories, that lure the victims into the forest, where the leader eats the victim.
