A complaint to the Military Religious Freedom Foundation (MRFF) revealed that a combat-unit commander had told non-commissioned officers (NCOs) that the Iran war was part of God's plan and that President Trump was "anointed by Jesus to light the signal fire in Iran to cause Armageddon and mark his return to Earth." This claim was made by one NCO on behalf of 15 troops, including 11 Christians, 1 Jewish, and 1 Muslim. The complaint has been corroborated by multiple media outlets.
