Should I just be like... Looking at what other make and take notes about some speaifics?

If there's a tip I have for MS Paint (Windows 10 and below) users; You can extend the image, and use Transparent selections to make "layers". This is coming from a guy who uses Windows 10, since we don't have real layer systems like the Windows 11 version.
I might have to illustrate in more detail what I mean later.

I am an artist, but not usually in the way you're thinking. I do metal work, but when I draw, I just use pencil and paper if i can. If not, I use several different drawing platforms

I have unironically used MS Paint for full drawings, and still do from time to time. Although, my focus has shifted to Krita, since I started using a Linux machine more. (which doesn't have ms paint)
I did find an alternative to MS Paint on Linux Mint called KolourPaint, but that only happened after I got used to Krita.
If you can use the program Gimp well, I don't know enough about the program to tell you that you'd be wrong to use it for 2D art.

Keira's not a bad choice in my opinion, but it was a little complicated at the start. Like any FOSS software, don't expect hyper streamlined UI you'll understand right away...

Also sorry, it's a habit in my grammar to properly capitalize titles.

I usually use ibspaint,or pencil...I draw to express myself and for fun!

the only art i do is for minecraft mods. and there os only one option with that in mind

but when i do draw its either on paper or my phone
on phone i use flipaclip
which is shit
and on computer i use paint.net (basically ms paint+)
