what if the bayverse designs were actually g1 esque and had more boxy and had vibrant art styles but had to abandon them in the relentless war due to adaptive changes in combative survival which lasted millions of years until cybertron was straight up unlivable and hollow
(the million year timespan could be the same time that the g1 autobots and decepticons spent crash-landed in stasis on earth in an attempt to find more energon and the remaining decepticons and autobots on cybertron spent their time on scavenging missions and more smaller power struggles with their resources better preserved and cybertrons main shape still intact)
