why?

because if you look at the kill anims if you are the impostor, you move quickly to kill the Crewmate in half, which looks like teleporting. so the speed of an among us character if they are an impostor is infinte, since the kill anim for the impostor (client sided) makes the killer "teleport", whereas in the crewmate's pov, the kill animation plays.
