More details in the comments. | Basically, it is one of the months of the Islamic calendar and the month where we Muslims fast from sunrise to sunset! Hi, and welcome to my explainer about Ramadan! Then we wait until sunset so we can eat again, and we pray extra prayers at nightfall. Then we fast again. To start out the day, we wake up early and eat sahur, which is the meal before you start fasting the minute dawn - known to us as Fajr - breaks. We repeat this for 29 or 30 days, and finally we can celebrate the end of Ramadan! | image tagged in 5 panel gru meme, ramadan, facts, funny, memes,oh wow are you actually reading these tags | made w/ Imgflip meme maker

More info:
Even though Ramadan is a month of fasting, it is also a time when a Muslim must remain self-disciplined and focused on their actions. They should not do bad things, or say swear words, or be mean to others. They should be nice people and charitable, giving back to their community and donating to the poor.

However, there are special circumstances that don’t allow people to fast, like sickness, travel, and, in the case of women, monthly business (or postpartum for women after their pregnancy).

There are two types of ways for those people to make up for the days of fasting that they missed. They can either fast those days later after Ramadan, or they pay for one poor person for every day they didn’t fast, or both.
For short-term sickness, travel, and a girl’s monthly business, the person must fast the days they missed afterwards.
Long term sickness must do the payment
People with chronic illness don’t have to do so
On another note, postpartum women have to do both
