Niche space fact: The first commercial spacecraft to go to the Moon was a misaligned communications satellite known as PAS-22 in 1999, which suffered a launch error causing it to be launched in the wrong inclination, therefore unable to function as a comsat to its customers. It was sold off to another company, which did the math and found that if they performed an Apollo 13-style maneuver using the spacecraft, it could return to a functioning trajectory although end up using half its fuel in the process. That maneuver ended up being successful and marked the first time any commercial craft went to the Moon, and unintentionally so.
