Okay but why does genesis say the earth was made before the sun when we have proof it wasn't

Ok I'm curious and want to entertain this, what proof is there, and if it's the fact that the sun is required for the earth to properly function, I have no answer to that but the fact that god is all powerful

again, god is all powerful, he could've done a number of things to prevent this, besides it only mentions that the earth was made first, however creatures were made a say after the sun

yea I just wanted a reason to debate tbh, i'm atheist lmao, but yea that's what it says
I think the fact this is the only even remotely habitable planet we know of out of literally thousands and the fact that humans are still an extremely unique species compared to every other one on Earth is more than enough to convince ourselves that we're not insignificant as much as we'd like to believe
the verse saying "four corners of the Earth" was clearly a metaphor
Not sure how that inaccuracy in Genesis can be explained without saying it's factual in nature. which would go against Christians claiming that the Word of God is perfect and will always be perfect

Well humans wrote the book, and humans have a tendency to mess things up.
