Minecraft? I usually strip mine everything that's right on top of bedrock - maximizes the chances of finding diamonds and you could get a lotr-grade dwarf hall out of it too

I just dupe a single diamond repeatedly, currently in my forever world I have 2 stacks of diamond blocks

Tame a nautilus and go in an underwater cave. I got 3/4 of a stack of diamonds doing this.
