EXE Derangement Syndrome (EDS); Definition:; EXE Derangement Syndrome (EDS) is a term used to describe a condition where individuals lose their objectivity and rationality when talking about Sonic.exe - specifically those who hate the creepypasta character. This often leads to exaggeration, misinformation, double standards and bizarre emotional reactions whenever X is even mentioned. Symptoms of EDS:; - Compulsive lying about Sonic.exe's characterization; - Goalpost shifting when proven wrong; - Ignoring that JC the Hyena no longer owns Sonic.exe and treating the fans like trash; - Claiming that X would lose to every Sonic character in existence when JoeDoughBoi (the current owner of Sonic.exe as a whole) confirmed that only Sonic would beat him; Criticism isn't EDS. You're allowed to dislike Sonic.exe. EDS kicks in when that dislike turns into obsession, misinformation, and irrational rage - especially when you treat people enjoying Sonic.exe and its many variants as a personal attack on you.
