I've been seeing a lot of things online talking about soulmates, for example posts saying, "what if he isn't my soulmate?" or, "What if I never find my soulmate?" And I just want to voice what I believe the true meaning of a "soulmate" is. A soulmate isn't someone that's assigned to be the one you end up with in the end. A soulmate is the person you're happiest with. I don't believe there's only one select person, I believe it can change, just as you will change and grow as a person. You're soulmate is the person you feel connected to in a special way. Although I'm not an expert on this kind of thing, I think you get to decide and choose who you believe is your soulmate.
