January 1st: A way too chaotic start

January 1st had two significant events: First, AYMY turned off the 10k rule. This caused the stream to be flooded by alts (who would have guessed). Second, Silver made a post where he spread several allegations against Toady. Those allegations included Toady faking their gender and faking identities of other users. Silver also got support by controversial user Real Him Bo, who may or may not have a glowup.

January 2nd: The watermark update

On January 2nd, the Imgflip devs added more watermarks to Imgflip, including a huge one that blocks the entire screen. First deemed as useless, MSMG users started making memes about the huge watermark, and THP and Nat even made username changes referencing to the new watermarks.

The Street Rat controversies

A lot of MSMG drama last month was based on user Street Rat. This happened due to his ragebaiting, crashouts, beefing, and more. He also allegedly acted creepily towards Potassium, and crashed out when he got blocked.

The Quentin controversies

On January 21st, Quentin posted two dogs having intercourse, causing Ducc to attack him. Quentin then proceeded to post more NSFW, although not as heavy as the one on January 21st. His reputation remains stable though.

The final hit against Toady

On January 28th, Toady posted false allegations about Garfieldfan, which ended up getting them permabanned. Before that, Silver exposed even more truths about Toady, including some hypocritical messages. While a lot of users celebrated, it also caused a new controversy:

The Anormal Leaf controversy

User Anormal Leaf was very, VERY defensive about Toady, including harassing other users and saying some pretty weird stuff. He then claimed to be ragebaiting, which is still open.
