This interpretation is understood by your average person as Christ dying for the world as a whole & not only the elect & yet Calvinism insists it means the world of the elect. Then you guys quote scripture that talks about the world not understanding the things of God which subtly insinuates that since the minority interpret it your way & people justly hate Calvinist dogma that if we read it that way that we're not Christians.
