Fun historical factoid: Adolf Hitler was terrified he was part Jewish, on his paternal grandmother’s side. However, there is no historical proof that he had any Jewish ancestry. It’s a fear he had. There has been significant speculation that his hatred of Jews was his projection of what he most fared in himself.
