2 questions? First did the the guy say exactly that because if so that is untrue or did he say something entirely different like God foregos His right to force repentance or damnation because He wants man to choose? In experience with 5 point Calvinists they can't comprehend God remaining sovereign with an allowance decree then they project their own ignorance back onto; non-Calvinists. God is unbound by time & could undo an allowance decree anytime & yet salvation is of man & God isn't sovereign if He CHOSE to do it that way? Second, did you assume that the scripture he gave you was narrative based on God telling you directly by asking Him in prayer or by the TULIP indoctrination lenses you wear or your infallible reformed leader's expository?
