Acid. Hippies took it a lot in the '60's and '70's. It make you hallucinate for 8 to 12 hours and typically psychedelic kinds of hallucinations but bad trips happen. Tripping, tripping or trippy refers to psychedelic lsd/acid or magic mushrooms also does it. This is why hippies were such idiots.
