That's... Not at all how it works. A knocked out Pokémon is FAINTED, meaning it's not conscious, but still alive. This is backed by the Japanese version calls it "NEAR death" meaning the revive simply restores their consciousness.
I JUST SOLVED IMMORTALITY IN POKEMON; SO IF KNOCKED OUT POKEMON ARE TECHNICALLY "DEAD" UNTIL YOU HEAL AT A POKEMON CENTER OR USE A REVIVE, THEN WHY DON'T WE USE A REVIVE ON A DEAD PERSON?
