Its so annoying to me when people are like “not gay enough.” to a piece of literature. Even if its meant jokingly i see it so immature; I dont think the writer was focusing on writing the smut people read in ao3, but it was rather to project their own experience of being gay in a society that earlier was much less accepting and what trauma it might’ve costed them
