It’s worth it for AI to advance. AI will become a large part of humanity at some point. That’s simply inevitable. Id hope we avoid relying on it. But if done right, AI will be An amazing tool for society

no it’s really isn’t? Image generation is mostly terrible, the more ai images they create the more ai images they learn off of which makes an ouroboros of ai images that we have literally seen happen before
this happened with studio ghibli pics tint where it generated so much most ai images were piss yellow because it learned off of itself

ai chatbots have done literally mental damage to some kids and teens that are anti social and/or autistic in which they rely on the character chatbots to feel like they are talking to

The only situations ai has genuinely “helped” people is with summaries of different articles and idk f**king math even though that’s just copying what other people do

and many ai videos have been made for content farms and is literally like elsagate 2.0 with some abhorrent videos being created like weird kpop demon hunter videos and gore of cats being produced and put on youtube

See that’s the thing. AI is a tool as much as things like guns or computers are. Incredibly harmful in certain aspects yet very useful in others. AI has actually done way more than help mfs on their homework. And AI is DEVELOPING. It isn’t perfect yet. It will be close to perfect as it goes on. See AI videos from 2023 and tell me there’s no improvement already

Again. A tool can be used in different ways. Of course if a regular person uses AI video software it’s mostly gonna be used for dumbass shit. But it can be used in great ways too

If Ai always remains the same, then sure. But once it learns off of more than just databases that currently exist, which it will definitely do, then it will become more than what it is now. Yes, AI is less reliable than someone experienced in whatever field it is present at the situation. But seeing how fast AI advances pushes an advanced version of it beyond a hypothetical. More along the lines of the inevitable provided work is put into it

the only other ais as I can tell is neural networks which aren’t even useful because they are always in simulations which requires failure and reward gimmicks which helps us for scientific research sure but nothing truly practical
