Thankfully the two cats that I have now don’t mess with the tree enough to do any damage. I’m lucky in that regard I guess. They don’t try to jump on it or knock it down like the cats in these gifs do. I’ve had cats over the years who have done that. We used to have to put a hook in the ceiling and secure it with a wire. We kept the ornaments several feet off of the floor so they won’t try to knock them off.

The many, many videos out there show that all safety systems will ultimately will fail 😹

That’s usually true. My cats are too lazy to make the effort like they used to. I might pick one of them up and throw them on the tree so they can remember what it used to be like. For old times sake. 😸😺
