K Imma ask you cause you‘re chill

So first, I might be wrong but as far as I know according to Christianity people are born as sinners and achieve rightfulness by seeking forgiveness through Jesus Christ. Is that correct?

That's about right
bc of the disobedience of adam and eve in the garden of eden
then righteousness (rightfulness) is through faith

Ok. But is it right that if someone commits a sin, that person can still make it right by seeking forgiveness through Jesus Christ?

Yeah

So imagine you‘re someone who commits sins every day. Something like a Mukbang YouTuber, a prostitute, or a trans person (since some Christians consider being trans a sin). Could you theoretically just keep doing this and live life how you want as long as you keep seeking forgiveness and being baptized? Or is there something like a limit to how much God can forgive?

God's forgiveness is considered unlimited in scope and frequency for those who sincerely repent.

Alright so repenting means not repeating the sin?

no
If you genuinely intend to stop but fail because of a weakness or addiction, your repentance was still real

Ok, I understand. Ty for explaining

yes, if you rob someone, say your sorry, get off with no punishment because you said sorry, then rob someone else, were you really that sorry?
0 ups, 8h
Yeah that makes sense

its not a scale or point system, its not "you did more good acts then bad acts so you can go to heaven"
0 ups, 8h,

Well how exactly does one go to heaven then?
1 up, 8h
you go and be the best person you can, you literally cannot be good enough to make the gap to be righteous enough to get to heaven, so you go as far as you can, and Jesus will finish the rest, in the final days when God judges you, jesus is your only ally, (not saying god is evil, its his duty to judge appropreitly) jesus is your advocate

everyone is born perfect, we then put upon sin on ourselves, adam and eves transgression was nessesary or we wouldnt exist
0 ups, 8h,

Alright, so does sin get put on ourselves automatically or is it that if we don‘t actively commit sins we won‘t be sinners?
0 ups, 8h
if we never sinned, we wouldnt have the burden of sin, agency is amazing that way

the older, original beliefs were that salvation for each individual person was determined by God before the world was created, and that the death of Jesus allowed those he chose to be cleansed of their sins and go to heaven.

nowadays many modern churchs incorrectly say this belief is the same thing as Calvinism, a more recent (few hundred years) belief system that has many similarities, although with a few of differences.

Another question: I went skiing a few times in the last days, and offered help to 11 people who fell. After doing so, I felt proud of myself for doing something good. However, since pride is a sin in Christianity, does that mean that being proud of doing a good deed counts as a sin as well? Or how is pride as a sin defined?

There is a sinful pride and a healthy pride
sinful pride is self-centered pride
Being proud of helping others is healthy pride
0 ups, 8h,

And how exactly is self-centered pride defined?
1 up, 8h,
1 reply
an excessive and inordinate belief in one's own excellence, an attitude of self-centeredness that places one's own desires and opinions above those of others and even God

Interesting. So sinful pride is something like narcissism?
