I fantasised that they couldn’t lock me up because I needed to visit hospital twice per week.

I even thought about it while still in hospital. “ICU psychosis” does strange things to your mind.

It’s an actual diagnosis. 

My hospital has now trialled more natural lighting in the ICU to try to reduce the severity. Plus I had been on hospital grade smack (morphine) and propofol for over a month. 

I’m not as crazy now though.
