I lowkey just realized how miserable my parents are, Cuz I asked my social studies teacher if you needed to be really smart to join JORTC. I asked her that because my parents told me that you needed to be really smart to join it, and once I told them I was joining, they said I was too dumb for it. She asked me why I asked, and I simply replied with "I asked because my parents said that I was too dumb for it." She looked a little sad after I said that, since I've become her favorite, since I can behave and do my work without much fuss. Makes me realize how my parents lack genuine interest and assume that everything has to do with being smart in high school.
