~Description!~ (went a bit overboard)

-Build: Large, natural barbaric physique, ~245 lbs, like a modern bodybuilder but raw and untamed
-Hair: Deep blackish-brown, wild, streaked with small braids adorned with Nordic hair beads and rings
-Eyes: Piercing ice blue-grey, sharp and commanding
-Face: Painted with subtle but striking warpaint (strategically placed to intimidate)
-Clothing: Dark and rugged—black, grey, and brown furs; dark brown leathers; either:
-Epic kilt of stacked leather panels and fur pelt layers
-Or fur-covered pants matching the top layers
-Belt: Simple, sturdy; holds a steel-forged dagger with Nordic leather-wrapped hilt, plus a small loose leather tie with raven bones, wolf teeth, and small trinkets
-Boots: Fur-lined, leather, tied securely for traveling harsh terrains
-Cape: Large wolf fur half-cape, draping down past the hips
-Weapon: Steel-forged rune-engraved battleaxe/war axe, carried on the back like a Skyrim-style Daedric axe (i'll describe better later)
-Scars: Battle-worn—Large slashes along his back and arms, and one along his left cheek.
-Tattoos: Various Nordic-inspired runes and tribal markings. (For tattoos, the one on his hands and arms I will design myself and post later, so stay tuned with my profile!)

Personality:
Gruff and intimidating to strangers, but fiercely loyal and protective to those who earn his trust. Pragmatic, blunt, and unafraid to get his hands dirty—yet capable of kindness to friends or innocents. Enjoys alcohol and can handle his drink well.

Background: Once a Viking chief, captured and enslaved after a failed raid on the English. Gradually carved a path as a mercenary for hire, carrying both the scars of loss and the reputation of a fearsome warrior.

None, really. I will develop the plot around your character or any ideas you may have, so for the first message when presenting your character tell me any ideas or suggestions you may have for the roleplay based upon your character! remember, he's a mercenary. a hired-hand, a hired sword.

for clarification, the kilt is for warmer environments (yes, long to the knees you weirdos) and the pants for fall/winter or colder climates like his homeland. And I may or may not also make this around Nordic mythology adventures as well

(Just asking for clarification before plonking in a character, how strictly realistic are you wanting? Are supernatural elements allowed? Obviously not straight up fantasy stuff but like. You know what I mean.)

I don't mind. the best supernatural elements I'd allow while being historic, probably a Norse seeress (völva), and very rarely ðSeiðmaðr (plural: Seiðmenn) or Seer who practice Seiðr magic. Or medieval witchcraft or Germanic tribe shamanism.

To actually answer your question, as long as it first norse mythology go wild.

*You awaken in some kind of camp in a bedroll, around midnight. It's snowing softly, a fluffy snow starting to lay. beside the fire, a large man is sitting, poking at the fire with a stick, his back to you*

Aqua: excuse me sir! where are we?

*he looks over his shoulder, not quite meeting eyes* ...Scandinavia. Why?

Aqua: I seem to be somewhere new, once again. *takes off coat* I was boiling in that *puts on bright orange knitted scarf*

*he glances over at her, eyes almost piercing into her* Odd. It's in the negatives tonight. *his voice is gruff, gravelly, and thick with accent*

Wolves, bears, eagles, owls, rabbits, deer, anything you expect to find in the cold climate. Mainly bears and wolves.

Careful to not cut off some of the meat. you want to get the layer between the fur and the final layer of skin.

-Appearance: A 5’2”, blonde Norse woman wearing a mustard yellow dress and leather shoes. Her hair was tied down in a braid and her most distinctive facial features are her freckles and her blue eyes.
-Skills/Knowledge: A licensed town doctor with knowledge of medicine and ailments of the time. She’s a quick thinker and a kind soul, which helped her gain notoriety as an excellent doctor of her town.
Weaknesses: She is physically weak and lacks skill in combat. She can also be fairly shy and sheepish, doubting herself when unnecessary.
-Character Traits: She cares deeply about her patients, making it her mission to heal those in need. She can be a bit shy, especially around those who can be physically intimidating.

*She treated his cuts and bruises carefully. Once she was done, she checked around him to make sure everything was fine.*

*He watches her work, staying still. Everything else seems to be fine*

*After a bit more work, she sighs and smiled*

“You’ll be fine; just take time to rest, Fenrik. I am Astrid. Fell free to stop by if you have any medical emergencies.”

*he tries to sit up* Rest is for the weak-

*She helped him sit up, paying more attention to his massive size in comparison to her.*
“I-I know you’re quite capable, Fenrik, but must you look for trouble in this state?-“

Im fine. *he grumbed a bit*

“This visit will be free of charge. You may have to pay for additional ones though-“

*he nods, looking over at her* Is that all? Can I leave now?

“Yes. How long will you be in the area for?”

“Oh, that explains your scars-“

*he nods* aye.

“Do you have anywhere to be? I was about to make dinner, and I wouldn’t mind making extra.”

*he says seated, leaning back against the wall a bit*

“Would you like cod and vegetables?”

*he nods*

*Once she finishes, she puts the bowls away and comes back*

“Do you have a place to stay?”

Yes, I have a room at the tavern.

“That’s good. Be safe on your way back, okay?”

*he nods, getting up to leave.* You too. *he stops at the door* ...and thank you. *Before leaving*

*She ran to the door and waved him goodbye*

*he waves back as he enters the tavern*
